On 16 April 2014, Guantao's Managing Partner Mr. Cui Liguo, accompanied by Mr. Patrick Phua, Beijing-based Partner of Ashurst LLP, an alliance law firm of Guantao, paid a return visit to XXIV Old Buildings in London and had a meeting with barristers Stuart Adair and Steven Thompson who visited Guantao in March at Beijing as well as Philip Shepherd QC and other barristers. They also visited Lincoln's Inn with nearly 600 years of history and other three Inns of Court.

On 19 March 2014, the well-renowned London-based barristers' chambers XXIV Old Buildings sent a delegation of five barristers, including Michael Black QC, Robert Levy QC, Stuart Adair, Steven Thompson, and Adam Cloherty, to visit Guantao in Beijing. Guantao's Managing Partner Mr. Cui Liguo, Head of Litigation and Arbitration Department Mr. Fu Sanzhong and the litigation partner Ms. Liu Junping, Partner Ms. Xu Ling in International Investment Department and Ms. Wang Yang in International Corporate & Securities Department had a meeting with the delegation to know further about the English barristers' capabilities in Court of England and Wales, in offshore litigation, international arbitration as well as non-contentious specialist advice services, They also discussed how to work together in common areas.
