Ms. Anna Chow is a consultant of Guantao & Chow.
Before becoming a consultant of Guantao & Chow in 2012, Ms Chow was a partner of Peter C. Wong from 1976 to 1989, and a partner of Peter C. Wong, Chow & Chow from 1989 to 2012.
Ms. Chow completed her legal training in England and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and of Hong Kong in 1973 and has since been in legal practice in Hong Kong.
Ms. Chow was appointed as a Notary Public by the Faculty Office of Archbishop of Canterbury in 1984 and as a China-Appointed Attesting Officer by the Ministry of Justice, the People’s Republic of China in 1991. She has been practicing as a Notary Public and an attesting officer since the said years respectively.
On the regulatory side, Ms Chow had served on the Disciplinary Tribunal of the Law Society of Hong Kong for 10 years and was a council member for 21 years and the honorary secretary for 19 years of the Association of China-Appointed Attesting Officers Limited.
During her years of practice as a solicitor, Ms. Chow had also devoted her time to public services. She was respectively a chairperson of the Appeal Tribunal under the Building Ordinance and the Railway Objections Hearing Panel under the Transport Bureau. She was a member of the Vetting Committee, for the Professional Services Development Assistance Scheme under the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, ICAC Complaints Committee, the Administrative Appeals Board, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and the Law Enforcement Injuries Compensation Board respectively. She also served on the Inland Revenue Board of Review from 1996 to 2007 and was a deputy chairman for the last nine years.
