Mr Lam was graduated in 1985 from the University of Hong Kong after completion of the Bachelor of Law and the Post-graduate Certificate in laws. After training, Mr Lam was working as an assistant solicitor at Mayer Brown (formerly JSM) until 1992 when he set up his own law firm. Mr Lam is currently a partner of Guantao & Chow.
Mr Lam received a Master in laws (from the University of Hong Kong) in 1991, another Master in laws (from Peking University) in 2004, and a Doctor of laws (Tsinghua University) in 2007. He was appointed a notary public in August 1996 and a China Appointed Attesting Officer in Jan 2000. Mr Lam is a fellow and was a Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators. He was admitted to practise in England, Australia and Singapore. His main areas of practices include litigation and arbitration. And also include commercial transactions, real property and personal wealth management.
He has represented various corporations including China Mobile International, Sunny Optical, Legend Capital, Bright Food.
