Carl Liu is presently a partner of Guantao Law Firm, leading partner of trust business. He is or used to be a member of Trust Professional Committee of Beijing Bar Association, member of PE/VC Professional Committee of Beijing Bar Association and member of Financial Securities Research Association of Beijing Chaoyang District Bar Association.

Carl Liu began to practice law in 2004, and he joined Guantao in 2019. He mainly engages in Asset Management, Real Property, Private Equity, Capital Market, Foreign Investment, Corporate Counsel and other business. Before joining Guantao Law Firm, he worked in Beijing Deheng Law Firm, Beijing Junzejun Law Firm and other prestigious law firms.

Carl Liu is an expert in Asset Management field. He has a deep understanding in trust, banking, insurance, securities, private equity industries and has practiced in those industries for years. He has provided all-process, multi-dimensional financial and legal service for trust companies, fund management companies, securities companies and other licensed financial institutions. Carl Liu is familiar with Chinese capital market, and has participated in a number of public company’s Reverse Merger, M&A, Cash Acquisitions and other major restructuring cases directly or indirectly. He is expert at Private Wealth Management, and he is skilled in using a variety of financial and legal tools to provide systematic solutions for the wealth management and inheritance of high net worth individuals and their families.

Carl Liu graduated from China University of Political Science and Law in 2004 with master’s degree in law, and he was awarded the title of Outstanding Graduate of China University of Political Science and Law.
