Ms. Wang Qiao has over 12 years of extensive experience in the field of dispute resolution, particularly in international trade, corporate matters, securities, and finance. In recent years, she has handled over 100 litigation and arbitration cases annually, demonstrating proficiency in resolving disputes related to cross-border transactions, large-scale investment and financing projects, and securities and finance. Ms. Wang Qiao not only possesses rich experience in representing clients in arbitration cases but has also assisted clients in litigation cases in the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China and various levels of People's Courts in major cities across the country. Additionally, she has served as a member of the liquidation group in several bankruptcy and liquidation cases. REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Litigation
• Representing the dispute between China Energy Reserve and Chemicals Group Company Limited and Bank of Communications Trustee Limited concerning the Chinese Offshore US Dollar bond, and obtained a favorable ruling from the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China regarding the jurisdictional dispute between Hong Kong and mainland China courts.
• Representing Atradius Trade Credit Insurance Inc., one of the most prestigious insurance companies in Europe all well as the second largest one in the world, in its various cases of recovering its credit insurance claims throughout China.
• Acting on behalf of a German company in a dispute related to the dissolution of its Chinese-foreign joint venture established in China, securing a dissolution judgment from the Beijing High People's Court.
• Representing China CITIC Financial Asset Management Co., Ltd (Beijing) in handling a series of litigation and execution cases related to the recovery of non-performing financial debts from Beijing Sunny Yibai Property Group Company Ltd. The total amount in dispute exceeded RMB 20 billion.
• Representing an Asian leading optical technology enterprise in Beijing High Court of the dispute over a purchase contract against LeShi Shareholding.
• Representing series of litigation between a private company and Renhe Investment Holding Co., Ltd, an affiliate of the Hong Kong listed company Renhe Commercial Shareholding Co., Ltd, amounting RMB 4 billion.
• Representing various of financial and insurance institutions, such as Hengfeng Bank, China CITIC and Aeon Life Insurance, etc, in their trust fund, commercial paper and integrated credit business disputes.
• Representing various of multinational corporates, such as LG Electronics, Bosch Electronics, Edom Technology (a Taiwan listed company), and Schmiedewerke Gröditz GmbH, etc., in litigation over their domestic and cross-border trade.
Arbitration
• Representing the dispute between CITIC Securities, and natural person and the natural person’s affiliate corporations with regarding to the securities margin trading dispute, and obtaining a favourable award. The arbitration was conducted at CIETAC, and the total amount in dispute exceeded RMB 110 million.
• Representing an affiliate corporation of PetroChina to participate in an arbitration at CIETAC regarding the purchase agreement of the Saudi EPC project, and helped the client achieve a favorable arbitration decision where most of the counterparty’s primary arbitration claims were rejected.
• Representing a SOE in CIETAC of the dispute over a subscription agreement against an overseas equity investment funds, which involves the exit of one of the first overseas RMB funds invested by state-owned enterprises.
• Representing four natural persons in CIETAC against China Gold Group Limited in an equity transfer dispute.
• Representing International Wood Supplier (Hong Kong) Limited in CIETAC of a dispute against a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania which involves arbitration jurisdiction conflict.
• Providing advice to a Taiwan company, VIA Technologies Inc. as defendant on its legal proceedings in Chinese court of recognition and enforcement of Hong Kong Arbitral Awards initiated by a Hong Kong TMT company.
Bankruptcy
• Representing the offshore Keepwell Deed’s creditors of the Founder Group in the bankruptcy and restructuring process of the Founder Group, handling the declaration of claims, initiating the confirmation procedure for the Keepwell Deed’ creditors in mainland Chinese courts.
• Representing China CITIC Financial Asset Management Co., Ltd in series of litigation against Huishan Dairy Industry Group. The core of these cases is whether creditor's right secured by the unregistered chattel mortgage shall have priority against other unsecured claims in the bankruptcy proceedings, the dispute of which amounts to nearly RMB 1 billion.
• Representing Hengfeng Bank Co., Ltd. in the filing of claims in the reorganization proceedings of Luova Technology & Industry Group Co., Ltd.
