October in autumn, when the fragrance of cinnamon osmanthus wafts in the air, the Double Ninth Festival is marked by care and respect for the elderly. Before the Double Ninth Festival was around the corner, the Nanchang Women's Union and the Nanchang Women and Children Activity Center, together with the Nanpu Subdistrict and other relevant entities, jointly carried out the 2023 Activity with the theme of "Grey Hair United as One Heart, Walk with the Party, and Join Hands to Paint a Red Sunset" on the afternoon of October 22, 2023. Guantao Nanchang Partners, led by Wang Yaping, carried out the "Pro Bono Legal Consulting Activity for Double Ninth Festival" at the site.

By setting up a legal consultation desk, distribution of publicity materials and on-site Q&A, Guantao Nanchang partners promoted to the elderly the Civil Code and other laws and regulations closely related to the lives of the elderly, and answered legal questions on the spot.

In the end of the publicity activity, the elderly present said one after another that the answers given by the lawyers were easy to understand and close to reality, and that they could not only understand what the lawyers said, but also solve their actual problems. Through this activity, more elderly people learned about their own legitimate rights and interests, greatly improved their own awareness of prevention and protection of rights, and Guantao lawyers were praised by the elderly group.

Respecting the elderly is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation and loving and helping the elderly is a common responsibility of the whole society. The launch of this Double Ninth Festival Activity not only gives the elderly a real sense of security brought by the legal services, but also sends them strong concern for the holiday. More than 100 copies of various publicity materials were distributed for this activity, and 10 persons were given answers for their legal questions. It is hoped that a safe, warm and harmonious atmosphere of rule by law can be created through this law dissemination activity.
